The Center provides assessment and educational services, as well as specialized training and community awareness programs. Its efforts extend locally, regionally, and internationally through the exchange of science-based information in both Arabic and English with various organizations, with the aim of raising awareness, qualifying professionals, improving methods of assessment and educational intervention, and empowering individuals to become active members of society.
Specific Learning Disabilities
Specific Learning Disabilities are defined as a group of diverse and heterogeneous developmental disorders present in some individuals. They result from a functional impairment of the central nervous system, which negatively affects the individual’s ability to receive, process, and express information. This leads to difficulties in areas such as speaking, listening, reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, reasoning, and mathematics.
These difficulties may also adversely affect other areas, including attention, memory, thinking, social skills, and emotional development.
